Diversification of product profile and customer base

We now have a robust and growing portfolio of Value Added and Special Products (VASP) products, contributing to over half of our revenue. This directly correlates with our topline momentum and results in superior operating margins. By building well-established brands associated with these products and closely engaging with our customers, we are protected against market volatilities.

A shift towards more sustainable living is not only shaping new trends in consumer industries but also in areas such as steel. Today the variety of applications where steel is used necessitates producers to continuously improve quality and offer products with a lesser carbon footprint. JSW steel is at the forefront of both these trends. On one hand, we are investing heavily in R&D and increasing our downstream portfolio of sustainable products and on the other, we are doubling up on sustainability by controlling our emissions, improving resource consumption, making processes efficient, being energy-light and ensuring multi-pronged digital focus, helping us improve existing practices.

    Feature Story

Building omni-channel customer experiences in steel

Over the years, a strategy we have religiously followed is to leverage our resources and innovative inclinations to enhance customer convenience at par with global trends. To create a uniform and omni-channel experience for our customers, which comprise Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), influencers and individual home builders (IHBs), we instituted JSW ONE Platforms Limited, which saw us integrating distribution networks across all product lines and businesses of the Group. A technology-led, solution-oriented entity that will provide a seamless one-stop destination to our customers and other stakeholders, and a unified layer of loyalty programmes for our customers and stakeholders.

    Roof to Dream

Recently, we found that 58% of the school buildings in India require significant repair. Around 41% of our students have classes conducted in open spaces. This presented us with an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of India’s future citizens, while reinforcing our brand. Under project ‘Roof To Dream’, we used our JSW Colouron+ sheets to cover and reinforce roofing of eight schools in four states, which earned us significant appreciation and a Steelie Award for Communications for this campaign. We also built toilets and painted the institutions, making the school environment much more conducive for students.
